Overland Trails Council will be working with Cornhusker Council and Mid-America Council to send our Scouts to the 2021 National Scout Jamboree. There will be 5 Male Troops and 1 Female Troop. Each Troop will consist of 36 youth and 4 adults. The Crew will start at 18 youth and 2 adults but may grow.
youth requirement: Scouts attending must be a registered Scout BSA or Venture Scout. Scouts must be at least 12 years old and First Class rank by the time of the contingent’s departure. All Scouts must be younger than 18 for the duration of the trip and Venture Scouts must be younger than 21 for the duration of the trip.
adult requirement: Adults attending with the council’s contingent must be registered in one of the councils, interviewed by the Jamboree committee, and be approved by the Scout Executive prior to being able to register online. Adult Leader Application
dates: July 19-30, 2021 (for those wishing to add the DC trip the dates are tentatively July 16-30.
location: Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve (aka The Summit), West Virginia
cost: $2,550 ($2,300 early bird rate if registered and deposit paid by Janauary 1, 2020) per person; will include Jamboree fee, transportation, shirts, patches, patrol and troop equipment, training camp before the jamoboree, insurance, contingent mementos. Your expenses will be personal equipment, uniforms and spending money. The charge for those wishing to add on the DC component will be aprox $800.
A $250 deposit required to reserve a spot in the contingent and a full payment schedule is available in the attachments section to the right on this page. All fees must be paid by February 1, 2021.

Camperships: Campership funds are available from the BSA for those attending the National Scout Jamboree. The application is available online in 2020.
